The Resurrection of the Dead

 

 

1 Corinthians 15: 25 – 26     Every effect of death is going to be reversed but

                                              happens in stages

 

 

1 Corinthians 15: 22 – 26      Not saying that everyone is born again but saying

                                               that everyone is resurrected.

                                               Death is universal, so is resurrection but the destination

                                               is different

 

 

verse 23: “Each one in his own order”

 

 

 

            1. Christ          (first fruit – guarantee that the whole harvest will follow)

                                   1 Corinthians 15: 35 – 49  -  whole harvest will be the same

                                                                          -  like Him   

           

2. Believers    

                                    (i)   dead in Christ at Rapture     1 Thessalonians 4: 13-17

                                    (ii)  alive in Christ at Rapture     1 Corinthians 5: 50-54

                                                 (translated)

 

                                    (iii) believers who die in Great Tribulation    Revelation 20:4

                                                 resurrected at 2nd Advent

 

                                    (iv)  Old Testament believers                          Revelation 50:5-6

                                            Luke 16: 19-31 held in Abraham’s Bosom

                                            Luke 23: 39-43 released into heaven in their souls

 

              All believers in (i) to (iv) above will be part of the First Resurrection and

                                        reign with Christ for 1000 years

 

           

3.  Unbelievers   Revelation 20: 11-15

 

              Second Resurrection, Second Death in the Lake of Fire at end of Christ’s

                                          1000 years reign on Earth
